Deployed service platform; provider delivery and operational evidence remain workflow-specific.

The problem

Technology support needs one thread between the person asking for help, the device or service involved, the operations team, the technician and the eventual quote or invoice.

What was built

A React/TypeScript, Node.js/Express and PostgreSQL/Prisma platform with a public catalogue, customer account, role-restricted staff portal, technician entry, bookings, combined ticket/job workflows, repair intake, quotes, invoices, payments, messages and private attachments.

What works now

The public Geek247 platform is deployed with a database-backed service catalogue, customer and staff routes, a health endpoint and server-rendered service pages. The application supports remote, onsite, workshop, collection and quoted service methods where configured.

Demo & integration boundaries

Email delivery, Paystack provider delivery/reconciliation, recurring billing, backup/restore and full operational readiness remain workflow-specific confirmation points. ClamAV scanning and private upload controls are implemented, but external delivery evidence is separate from source capability.

How it works

Choose a service

The public catalogue presents database-backed services and methods for remote, onsite, workshop, collection or quoted support.

Request help or a repair

Customer details, device information, location, method and repair acknowledgements are captured into a support request.

Scope and assign

Operations can review the request, prepare estimates or quotes, assign eligible technicians and keep internal notes separate from customer updates.

Deliver and record

Work status, messages, quotes, invoices, payments and completion records stay connected to the support or repair history.

Capability map

Customer support

Public service discovery, account history, device records, bookings, status updates, messages and invoices provide a customer-facing thread.

Repairs and onsite work

Repair intake captures condition, accessories, existing damage and acknowledgement fields, while service methods distinguish remote, onsite, workshop and collection work.

Operations and technicians

Admin, support/dispatch and technician roles expose the work each person is authorised to perform, including assignment and job updates.

Quotes, billing and records

Server-authoritative pricing, frozen quote/invoice line items, VAT rules, payment records and audit history support controlled service delivery.

Role & context

Product development associated with Amrish Seunarain’s portfolio and the Geek247 operating platform. The public page separates application capability from provider and operational proof.

Product work associated with the Geek247 support brand, which is a brand of Continuate IT Services (Pty) Ltd. This page does not change the contracting entity or legal terms.

Architecture in plain language

A server-rendered React/TypeScript frontend connects to a Node.js/Express REST API, PostgreSQL and Prisma. Customer ownership and technician assignment are enforced server-side rather than trusting browser-supplied record IDs.

  • React and TypeScript
  • Node.js and Express
  • PostgreSQL and Prisma
  • Customer account
  • Admin/support/dispatch
  • Technician workflow
  • Private uploads and scanning

These details are based on the Geek247 repository README, operating documentation and deployed platform evidence. Provider-side payment and email delivery remain separate validation points.
